High throughput has traditionally been applied to polyolefin catalyst development; however, the ultimate goal for a polymer producer is developing new materials with improved properties. Optimization of the processes that lead to these new products requires a different approach than catalyst development. The Freeslate Product Development Reactor (PDR) allows you to achieve unmatched process control in a high throughput reactor. It has been designed specifically to accelerate the process and product development stages that occur between catalyst discovery and optimization and the launch of a new polyolefin material or process. The PDR realistically scales down the complicated, multi-reactor cascade processes common in the industry today and allows you to create polymer samples in parallel at a scale amenable to traditional product characterization and performance testing. The capabilities of this reactor have no equal in the market today.
The Freeslate PDR enables up to 8 experiments (200 mL working volume per reactor) per run with operational temperature up to 120 °C and pressure up to 80 bar. Combined with Freeslate LEA (Lab Execution and Analysis) software, the PDR integrates experiment design, multi-stage polymerization screening, process monitoring, and data analysis, maximizing your R&D productivity.
