Biologics PurificationFreeslate’s Biologics Purification System is ideal for identifying the optimal purification conditions for downstream processing of biotherapeutics. The system is designed to support the entire protein purification development cycle. The system consists of Freeslate’s Lab Execution and Analysis (LEA) software and two Core Module 3 (CM3) Robotic Platforms. Freeslate’s LEA software is a comprehensive suite of programs for library design, protocol development/execution, data analysis, and data reporting. LEA’s searchable database allows users to query and view all sample data across multiple experiments to identify trends/correlations that transform data into knowledge to drive superior decision making. The first CM3 Robotic Platform automatically prepares buffers with varying pH and conductivity for the rapid screening of purification conditions and prepares samples for on-line analysis and off-line size exclusion chromatography, cSDS, and cIEF analysis. To enable full automation, buffer pH and conductivity are measured on-line by the integrated pH and conductivity probes. The second CM3 Robotic Platform has an integrated centrifuge, plate washer, plate sealer, and plate reader for on-line UV-Vis and ELISA assays. The entire system is seamlessly integrated/controlled by LEA software for unattended operation. To support early development, the Biologics Purification System screens up to 96 mobile phases to identify optimal purification conditions using plates pre-filled with process chromatography media. For late development, the system can be used for fine process optimization and process characterization. The Biologics Purification System is an end-to-end solution that integrates buffer and sample preparation, analysis, and data analysis and reporting to enable the rapid assessment of protein purification conditions for downstream process optimization.
