Lab Execution & Analysis (LEA) Software

LEA Software: Managing Experiments from Start to Finish

With today's technologies, scientists have tremendous options for generating and utilizing data, but data management itself has become a critical new challenge. To make and share good scientific decisions, scientists must consolidate data from multiple instruments, vendors, and file types and organize it in a way that provides value.

Freeslate's Lab Execution and Analysis (LEA) software suite creates a one-of-a-kind, integrated environment that spans the entire experimental process, from design to execution and the collection, analysis, and presentation of data.

Designing Experiments

The LEA software suite (using Library Studio®) allows you to design complex arrays of experiments from your desktop. You can specify materials, control parameters (such as temperature, pressure, pH, etc.), and order-of-addition. These lab "recipes" can be saved in an easy-to-read, easy-to-share format allowing technicians at core labs or CRO partners to execute the experiments.

Executing Experiments

In the lab, the LEA software suite (using Automation Studio) can automate the execution of the designed experiments, integrating instruments from Freeslate and third parties with a common user interface.

Analyzing Experiments

R&D generates large amounts of data‐often of widely disparate types and from widely disparate sources—which need to be collated, analyzed, and shared throughout the R&D organization. As experiments run, data collection using LEA is simple and intuitive, consolidating all valuable information to a central data storage location that allows for easy sharing of information across your R&D enterprise.

Reporting on Experiments

The LEA software suite (using Polyview) also makes it easy to organize, share, and present findings. The software allows you to view your data in an organized way and generate the reports you need in the formats you want (including standard office suite applications). Utilizing flexible reporting across experiments, all of the data from the design, run information from the execution (e.g., temperature collected from the robot), and analysis information (e.g., spectra groupings, HPLC traces) can be brought together in a single view and reported in any of variety of different formats including Microsoft® Office, Adobe® PDF, HTTP, SpotfireTM, and SharePoint.

The LEA Software Suite includes:

  • Library Studio: An intuitive, graphical environment for the rapid specification of one, several, or hundreds of experiments.
  • Automation Studio: A flexible environment for creating customized protocols for library-based screening and data process experiments.
  • Polyview: A flexible way to search for and retrieve data stored during synthesis and screening activities.
  • Spectra Studio: Clusters and defines groups of spectra using a set of algorithms based on the intrinsic features of the spectra. Results can be saved into the data warehouse for searching and viewing.
  • Data Browser: Provides drill-down access to projects and libraries, so users can produce experiment reports.
