Capabilities

The workflow utilizes Core Module 3 robots equipped with liquid handling, heating/stirring, viscometric indexing, a drawdown tool to prepare thin films on a variety of substrates and analytics like color, gloss, thickness and friction. By combining hardware and software capabilities, the Coatings Workflow accelerates innovation by enabling the testing of a broader experimental space. Specifically, this workflow enables you to:

  • Automatically measure and dilute formulations to desired viscosity.
  • Reproducibly prepare coatings in parallel in a range of thicknesses.
  • Exactly replicate samples for each analytical station minimizing variability due to human error.

Data Management

Integrated LEA software enables researchers to easily plan and execute large, combinatorial experiments and then visualize, interpret, and share the results of those experiments:

  • Share data across your organization driving better decision making
  • Correlate coatings performance to experimental design through queries of the application database
