Since 1997, Freeslate has developed a number of technologies that have resulted in new, commercialized products in this arena:

  • Dow Chemical commercialized INFUSE™, a new family of olefin block copolymers, and VERSIFY™ Plastomers and Elastomers, a versatile family of propylene-ethylene copolymers

We have developed products that work with the entire polyolefin and polymer product development cycle, from catalyst synthesis to polymerization to characterization, so no single step in your work process becomes a bottleneck. Our complete workflow allows you to perform 24-48 meaningful batch, slurry, or solution phase (co)polymerizations per day.

Catalyst Synthesis

Freeslate offers proven, reliable solutions for high throughput catalyst synthesis. Based on our configurable CM3 platform, the Freeslate Reaction Screening System can be used for the synthesis of ligands and the preparation of metallocenes and post-metallocene molecular catalysts.

Polymerization

We have spent substantial effort on developing the best high throughput reactor technology in the world. The Freeslate Parallel Pressure Reactor (PPR) and Product Development Reactor (PDR) are parallel, automated systems that dramatically accelerate catalyst research and new product development by providing proven catalyst screening capabilities and superior and scalable process control.


Characterization

We have integrated a number of analytics for measuring the properties of your polymers. Our high throughput analytics include Rapid GPC, Raman, FT-IR, and DSC. Integrated data sets, including catalyst composition and analysis, polymerization process parameters, and polymer product analyses, are automatically generated and can be shared across organizations to make faster and better decisions.

HTExplore

Freeslate has collaborated with HTExplore to provide access to powerful high throughput research capabilities for those labs not yet in a position to acquire and use HTR directly. HTExplore provides services for polyolefin and organometallic catalysis research utilizing Freeslate HTR systems. Services range from catalyst benchmarking, optimization, and discovery to specialized consulting and training services. HTExplore is a spin off of the Laboratory of Stereoselective Polymerization, headed by Prof. Vincenzo Busico , and is co-located with the Department of Chemical Sciences Federico II University of Naples.
